His life (* 23.4.1797 in Dresden; † 10.4.1855 ebenda)

He was accepted in 1819 to the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and was assumed as pupil of Johan Christian Clausen Dahl. Dahl introduced Oehme to his friend Caspar David Friedrich. Inspired by Friedrich and together with his pupil Johann August Heinrich he pore on his natural studies. In 1821 Oehme surprised during the academy exhibition with the painting Cathedral in the winter. Oehme died in 1855 in Dresden.
